Cesar Chavez gave power to those that had no voice and risked his own well-being for a bigger cause than himself. With non-violent acts of protest and a consistently honest voice he forced Americans to acknowledge the inhumane working conditions of field workers and more. Unfortunately, abuses against our field workers continues and only worsens as our migration issues continue. We must listen to the words of Chaves and find inspiration in them. I've included a short video here if you don't know anything about this monumental figure. Otherwise I will finish with one of his quotes: "When we are really honest with ourselves we must admit our lives are all that really belong to us. So it is how we use our lives that determines the kind of men we are."
